Bernie Campbell has more than three decades of experience in political campaign management, strategic crisis communications, message and policy development, speechwriting, media relations and training.
His work has included speechwriting and messaging for heads of government in Europe, Africa and the Americas and U.S. political leaders. He was communications director of the U.S. Democratic Governors Association in 2006, where he developed the national communications strategy and served as spokesperson with the national media. He has also provided organizational, and communications training and political guidance to emerging political parties in Armenia, Georgia, Serbia, Sri Lanka and Ukraine for the National Democratic Institute;
In the United States, he has provided strategic communications and media relations advice to a variety of organizations, including among many others, the Tampa Bay Rays, Save the Children, and the National Reproductive Health Technology Project.
Prior to joining Qorvis, Mr. Campbell served as vice president of Conover & Company. He directed the firm’s strategic communications programs with the United States Postal Service, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Department of Labor and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Mr. Campbell graduated magna cum laude from Wake Forest University, holds a masters degree in Theological Studies from Harvard University and serves on the Harvard Divinity School Alumni Council (2015-2019).
