The New York City Coalition for a Smoke Free City is a health advocacy group that works with the five boroughs of New York to increase awareness among community members and policy makers of the need to control tobacco. Partnering with the community, legislators and health advocates, the coalition supports neighborhood-based efforts for effective and long-term change throughout NYC.
Qorvis was hired by the New York City Coalition for a Smoke Free City to conduct media training and message development for its annual workshops. We held media training seminars and offered individual sessions, tailoring each presentation to address the most effective strategies for spokespeople engaged in the program. The seminars addressed key areas such as the media landscape, how to deliver a message and how to handle tough questions. Qorvis also provided opportunities for on-camera interviews, message development, one-on-one feedback and more individualized attention.
