Executive Vice President
As an executive vice president at Qorvis MSLGROUP, Cara Lombardi is responsible for all government technology business. She has a vast government and corporate experience in the areas of public relations, digital strategies, integrated marketing communications, brand-and-message development, advertising, sales and customer-engagement programs, event management, and market research.
Throughout her career, Lombardi has assisted senior level executives in both the public and private sectors with strategic marketing and communications plans to increase the visibility of their organizations and drive new business development for them in the government IT space. Her ability to translate tech speak for government audiences is a critical aspect for her clients’ marketing solutions and outreach programs, and she is skilled at delivering results that increase visibility for her clients, their subject-matter experts and their customers. Lombardi has produced and managed more than 250 events, including roundtables, product launches, panel discussions, training seminars and conferences for clients in the government and education markets. She also has experience in creating and managing corporate magazine-advertising and targeted research campaigns.
Before joining Qorvis MSLGROUP, Lombardi was the vice president and general manager at Market*Access International, where she managed all office activities and divisions, including individual and company-wide sales objectives and business expansion plans. She was a key member of the management team charged with managing accounts for companies such as Symantec, BearingPoint, ESRI, CH2M Hill and Microsoft Federal. In addition, she assisted in the creation and launch of two publications specifically targeted to the government IT industry – The Homeland Defense Journal and IT Security Magazine. As an event specialist at PlanetGov (now part of Apptis Inc.), Lombardi produced and managed all nationwide events, and supported marketing efforts for partner organizations. She has also served as the director of marketing and manager of sales development at Federal Sources, Inc.
Lombardi received a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
