WASHINGTON, June 23, 2010 – Qorvis Communications, one of the fastest-growing integrated communications firms in the U.S., today announced its Fairfax Radiological Consultants (FRC) campaign, titled “Clearly Better: High-Def, Low-Dose CT,” received a Gold Aster Award in the Medical Practice group/Service Line category.
The fully-integrated public relations and creative campaign was designed to increase awareness of FRC’s superior CT imaging capabilities among referring physicians and patients in the greater Washington metropolitan area. The “Clearly Better” campaign included: message development; media outreach; internal communications; cable television advertising; a search engine-optimized campaign website (www.fairfaxradiology.com/lowdose); online advertising with video, Flash-based expandables and banners, and a Google AdWord campaign; direct mail to physicians; sales collateral customized by physician sub-specialty; and a physicians directory print ad. All campaign elements were developed and launched within two calendar months.
“This accomplishment is the perfect showcase of our firm’s integrated marketing approach,” said Qorvis Managing Partner Michael Petruzzello. “By taking a look at the complete picture, we were able to utilize multiple communications channels to create awareness for our client and generate tangible results in the process.”
FRC is the fourth largest radiology practice in the country and the first in the D.C. metropolitan area to offer the latest CT imaging technology. This technology allows doctors to view CT images that are up to 33 percent clearer, while reducing the radiation dosage to patients by an average of 50 percent compared to prior generation scanners. Qorvis was retained to increase awareness among referring physicians and patients, contribute to an increase in CT referrals to FRC, and further position FRC as a leader in radiological services.
Qorvis has received many awards and accolades for the Fairfax Radiology campaign, including a 16th Annual Communicator Award, selection as a finalist for a Silver SABRE Award in the “Healthcare Providers” category and distinction as a “Platinum Winner” of the 2009 MarCom Awards.
