Qorvis MSLGROUP Has Every Corner Covered

Be sure to check out Qorvis’ Federal Budget Expert Stan Collender on Bloomberg TV at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow. He’ll be discussing the budget and debt ceiling—particularly the talks taking place today at the White House between the President and GOP leadership, and the negative impact on financial markets if they don’t/can’t/won’t reach an agreement.

Qorvis MSLGROUP and the Washington Kastles

Little known fact: Qorvis MSLGROUP has serious floral skills. The team put together flower center pieces shaped like tennis balls to adorn the high top tables at this year’s Kastles Season Kickoff Party “Wimbledon on the Water”—superbly constructed by Qorvis staff, including Meryl Draper and Grace Fenstermaker.

The floral tennis balls were created using 6″ foam to anchor the mix of green button flowers (covering the bulk of the ball) and white strati (for the “seam”). They took an average of four hours to complete, and they looked incredible.

Hagel Wins Confirmation After Being Treated Badly By His Former Senate Colleagues

Most United State senators generally agree that any president has the right to appoint to his cabinet people he wants. And that includes even candidates with whom a senator might have political and personal differences. He is after all, a member of that exclusive club, the U.S. Senate. It is also generally true that a president feels comfortable that recommending a senator to a cabinet post was a smart way to have his candidate easily approved by his colleagues.

In or Out of the Grid—Let’s Remember to Look before We Leap

A few weeks ago, I saw a young woman getting off a city bus, headphones in and engaged in a conversation on her mobile. Without looking, she proceeded to walk in front of the bus to cross the street. Normally, fine and dandy, except the bus had a green light. The bus driver was observant enough to see the woman and honk and stop in time, while many onlookers, myself included, yelled at her to look out. Impact averted, she looked at all of us as if we were crazy and asked what was wrong.

The What, Why, and How of Viral Ads

What causes an ad to go viral? From the slew of Old Spice commercials, to The Dollar Shave Club, to my all-time favorite, the Cadbury Gorilla back in 2007, unleashing a viral ad has become the holy grail of online marketing. This is largely because there is no way to ensure achievement aside from genuine interest as people watch and share content.

Public Affairs: Modifying to Constant Evolution

How would you describe your organization’s relationship with its customers? Its clients? How about business groups, trade associations, shareholders, donors and sponsors, government organizations, partners, and the media? The world of public affairs is certainly both vast and complex. How, realistically, can any single organization develop a mission or strategic goals that align with the interests of all the myriad groups with investments, interests, or influence?

How Hillary Clinton Can Improve Her Twitter Feed

What does Hillary Clinton see when she logs on to Twitter? Not a lot, actually.

In today’s New York Times, Maureen Dowd criticized the former Secretary of State for following only a handful of accounts.
