Qorvis Hires W. John Moore
Veteran Journalist and Communications Strategist to Further Expand Public Affairs

Washington, DC – May 18, 2007 – Qorvis Communications, one of the largest and fastest growing independent communications firms in the United States, announced today that W. John Moore has joined as a managing director. 

Before joining Qorvis, Moore spent five years as a founding partner and principal at a Washington public affairs firm where he developed its energy and law firm public relations practices. Moore was a former senior vice president at the Hawthorn Group in Alexandria, Va. His expertise includes coalition management, regulatory affairs, Supreme Court litigation, and global public policy issues. A veteran Washington journalist, Moore spent 15 years as a staff correspondent, managing editor and senior editor/columnist with National Journal.  He also was an associate editor of Legal Times.

Moore will focus on the firm’s growing public affairs client base and continue to develop Qorvis’ coalition management capabilities.  His clients include trade associations, law firms and an utility industry coalition.
