FORMER WHITE HOUSE SPOKESPERSON JOINS QORVIS
Kara Gerhardt Ross Further Strengthens Media Relations and Public Affairs Teams
Washington, DC – [January 2, 2007] – Qorvis Communications announced today that Kara Gerhardt Ross, former Clinton White House Midwest press secretary, has joined the firm as a senior director. Ross will advise Qorvis’s technology, aerospace and transportation clients, including Adobe, the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers, United Technologies and the Digital Freedom Campaign.
A 14-year communications veteran, Ross was a Clinton administration spokeswoman for issues affecting the Midwest United States. She then served as director for media relations and special projects at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Ross also held public affairs roles at the U.S. General Services Administration, the Department of Defense, and for Senator John Glenn (D-OH) and Representative Lynn Schenk (D-CA).
“Ross’s diverse expertise will be of tremendous help to our clients involved in some of today’s most important issues including digital technology rights and policies affecting the automotive industry,” said Qorvis Managing Partner Michael Petruzzello.
Most recently, Ross was the communications and marketing director for ACS Government Solutions where she developed overall transportation marketing and communications initiatives for ACS and its state and local government clients. This included transportation programs such as E-ZPass, photo enforcement, parking and revenue solutions and EMS services.
“Qorvis has a reputation of being one of the most creative and effective agencies in the nation,” said Ross. “I am truly looking forward to adding my skills and expertise from both the public and private sector to its already very talented team.”
