Qorvis Hires AT&T Veteran Jim McGann
New Managing Director Further Strengthens Qorvis’ High-Technology Public Affairs and Government Marketing

Washington, DC - June 15, 2006 - Qorvis Communications today announced that Jim McGann, a former AT&T executive who led that company’s media relations team in Washington during the telecom reform battles, has joined the firm as Managing Director.

A 22-year AT&T veteran, McGann was responsible for communicating the company’s policy views to the national and trade media for nearly seven tumultuous years following passage of the Telecommunications Act of 1996.  Among other responsibilities, he developed media initiatives on behalf of AT&T and its coalition allies who were seeking competition in local phone markets across the country.

McGann’s most recent assignment was to provide public relations counsel and support to AT&T’s government sales unit as it sought to expand its federal IT business.  He was able to dramatically increase the company’s profile among the media and industry analysts.  Previously, McGann led the public relations team for AT&T Latin America.
