Qorvis Announces Nine Additions to its Professional Staff
Washington , D.C .- February 22, 2005 - Following a surge of new business and expansion within the agency, Qorvis Communications, LLC, a privately held public relations firm, today announced the appointment of nine professionals to newly created positions on its staff.
Bill Cullo , formerly a senior vice president at Fabrizio, McLaughlin & Associates, joins Qorvis as a managing director in charge of the agency’s new iQ research and consulting arm. Cullo served as deputy director of polling for the 1996 Dole presidential campaign. Prior to that, he worked as a senior associate at The Tarrance Group, another political consulting/market research firm.
Kristen Perkins, director, comes toQorvis from Nashville, Tenn., where she worked as an independent legal consultant. Perkins will help manage the agency’s new state-of-the-art media training center. Prior to legal consulting, Perkins spent three years serving as an associate producer for Court TV in New York.
Seth Pietras joins Qorvis as a director from medical technology journal The Grey Sheet, where he worked as a news editor for three years. Pietras is a graduate of Williams College.
Charissa Benjamin joins Qorvis as a senior associate from Witeck-Combs Communications, a boutique agency specializing in multicultural communications and marketing strategy. Benjamin has served as a marketing and communications strategist for clients such as American Airlines, Kimpton Hotels and Volvo.
Catherine Castro, also joins as a senior associate, leveraging her investor relations and public relations experience gained primarily in the telecommunications arena working as an analyst to the CEO and manager of investor relations for AT&T Latin America Corporation based in Miami, and as an investor relations professional for Telefonica – Peru, where she was the primary liaison with the international investor community and with the company’s parent, Telefonica (Spain).
Elena Caudle joins Qorvis as a senior associate in the iQ research and consulting arm. Caudle, a graduate of Claremont McKenna College, formerly worked at The Polling Company, Inc., a political research firm.
Walin Jindan , Shoueb Rifai and Jesse Thomas join as associates at Qorvis. Jindan comes to Qorvis from the STMC Training Institute, where he worked as an instructor and technician. Rifai recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is currently working on his master’s degree in public policy at George Mason University. Thomas has been assigned to augment Qorvis’ rapidly growing creative services capabilities.
