FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

QORVIS NAMES TWO NEW DIRECTORS TO STAFF

McLean , Va. – April 21, 2004 – Qorvis Communications LLC, a privately held full service public relations firm, today announced that Alfred Black and Jennifer Baskerville Stoltz have joined the firm as directors. Both have significant experience in public relations: Black most recently was involved in both marketing and public relations for Stratos Global Corp. and Stoltz joins from CNN's Washington, DC bureau where she was a producer.

"Al and Jennifer bring a wealth of experience to Qorvis with demonstrated success in media and communications," said Michael Petruzzello, managing partner of Qorvis. "We are very fortunate to be able to build on our model of recruiting highly experienced professionals who can help us continue trying to raise the bar when it comes to providing great client service."

Prior to Qorvis, Black was the senior communications manager at Stratos Global Corp., a publicly owned global provider of remote communication solutions for the government, military, aeronautic and oil and gas sectors. There, he integrated the marketing and public relations functions of disparate global offices and newly acquired companies throughout Canada, the U.S. and Asia-Pacific.

Previous to his role at Stratos, Black was the director of public relations at OneSoft Corp., an e-commerce software developer and provider for the click and mortar retail industry. He served as direct communications counsel to senior executive management and in-house legal staff and served as the company spokesman with media and analysts.

Prior to joining Qorvis, Stoltz was a producer at CNN's Washington, DC bureau. There, she followed foreign policy and public diplomacy issues and produced packages for CNN's State Dept. correspondent Andrea Koppel. In addition, she produced stories for Headline News, CNN International and other CNN specials around the Washington, DC area.

Before becoming a producer, Stoltz served in several capacities at CNN moving up the ranks. She was an associate producer for the show "Inside Politics", an operations assistant for the show "Burden of Proof" and was an operations assistant in the newsroom covering stories such as the 1996 elections and the crash of TWA Flight 800.

"We continue to look for very high quality public relations professionals," said Doug Poretz, one of the founding partners at Qorvis. "We want to continue building the scope and depth and quality of the services we can provide clients in a wide range of activities and size and whether they have specific or broad communications needs, and we want to be great at doing that."
