Making A Difference

From its founding, Qorvis has encouraged employee involvement in community activities.  This has included lending a hand in charitable causes, taking on important pro bono work, and assuming leadership roles in area charitable organizations.

Pro bono work has supported such organizations as Suited for Change, the Earth Conservation Corps, the National Awareness Campaign for Melanoma, and YouthAIDS.  One of Qorvis’ most important charitable activities was helping Louisiana State University, which in the wake of Hurricane Katrina approached us to raise awareness about the horrific circumstances at Charity Hospital.  The exclusive Qorvis secured on ABC’s “20/20” won an Emmy for Outstanding Continuing Coverage of a News Story in a News Magazine.

Every year, we hold a Qorvis Community Service Day, giving employees paid time off to support a community cause, such as packaging and delivering food to the needy and cleaning up along the Potomac River.

Many Qorvis partners and senior staff serve on the boards of local organizations, including the Northern Virginia Healthcare WorkForce Alliance, Fairfax County Public Schools’ Business/School Partners in Education program, The National Capital Chapter of the American Red Cross, Junior Achievement, and the Federal City Council, to name a few.
