Senior Director

Summary

Qorvis Communications, one of the largest and fastest growing independent communications agencies in the country, seeks a talented, highly motivated professional for the position of Senior Director.  Qualified candidates should have 7+ years of experience in the communications field, including agency experience.

In this position, you will serve a critical role in supervising account teams, including managing a key account.  You will be responsible for day-to-day client contact, general team management, as well as tactical/implementation responsibilities for scope of work.  The ideal candidate will have strong business media contacts, excellent writing/editing abilities, and prior experience with business-to-consumer accounts.

Representative Responsibilities and Skills

• Exhibits sound understanding of the client’s industry(ies)
• Builds strong relationships with business media
• Manages and executes client projects; ability to draw on internal resources effectively
• Builds key messages, pitch angles and other communications
• Ability to manage client relationships, including solicitation of feedback from clients, client communication and reporting, and deliverables
• Commands excellent verbal/written communications skills, including strong presentation skills and excellent writing/editing abilities
• Drives creativity among team members, developing new ideas, facilitating brainstorms and soliciting ideas from other Qorvis staff
• Exercises sound business judgment and discretion; maintaining appropriate professional manner and highest level of confidentiality
