Creative / Art Director
Summary
Qorvis Communications, one of the largest and fastest growing independent communications agencies in the country, seeks a creative, highly motivated professional for the position of Creative/Art Director.
This senior director level position will be responsible for creative concepting, art direction and implementation for online and offline mediums. The successful candidate will be familiar with all media and the knowledge on how best to apply and integrate creative and copy for all media, with a particular focus on new media forms: email, Web, information architecture, flash, and other non-traditional media options. Successful incumbents will have advanced knowledge of Internet and Web technologies and best practices, and a passion for creating highly usable Web sites that optimize the user experience.
The incumbent will be in charge of “all things visual” both online and in print projects. This newly created position will oversee and produce graphic design, logo and brand identity, marketing and sales materials, publication, web layout, information architecture, flash storyboarding, interactive conception, imaging, and photography for an established client roster.
Representative Responsibilities and Skills:
- Minimum of seven years of successful experience in the creative services industry; agency experience required
- Minimum of five years of successful experience in the web design and development, with an emphasis on experience with new media forms
- Ability to translate creative concepts into the highest quality online experiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate concepts to internal and external teams
- Manage multiple client relationships, projects and timelines with the highest standards of client service
- Support managing director in assisting in new business efforts, workload distribution, recruiting and staff development
- Maintain fluency in the latest design software
- MFA, BA or BS degree
