With more than five years experience in crisis communications, public affairs, and media strategy, Jake leads media relations and public affairs for Qorvis client teams.  Utilizing the experience he developed as a Communications Director and Press Secretary in the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, Jake specializes in distilling complex issues into relevant and newsworthy messages for grassroots campaigns, government clients, and the technology industry.

Jake’s unique expertise provides both political and communications counsel to Qorvis’ government, businesses, and industry clients.  He works with Qorvis clients in the company’s media training studio to develop media and presentation skills. 

Pertinent Background & Relationships

• As a Communications Director and Press Secretary on Capitol Hill in both the House and the Senate, Jake was responsible for national media relations, message development, and strategic communications. 
• Ward has served as chief spokesperson, communications advisor, and policy counselor for Congressman Dan Lungren (R- California) and Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine).
• Before moving to Capitol Hill, Jake worked with the government relations firm of Balch & Bingham and with the General Services Administration.

Education

Jake received a Bachelor of Science from Wheaton College in Massachusetts and a Masters of Science from Northeastern University.
