At Qorvis Communications, Ingrid Vax is instrumental in building and maintaining client relationships for our new advertising group. Along with her professionalism, creativity, and outstanding commitment to service, Vax also possesses the ability to think like the client, having spent a great deal of her career in just that role.
Pertinent Background & Relationships
- Director of Client Services at Sparky’s Garage, a creative shop known for outside-the-gearbox thinking. In that role, she supervised account management functions and operations for the agency.
- Advertising Manager at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturer’s of America (PhRMA), where she managed a $36 million national advertising campaign aimed at increasing favorability for the pharmaceutical industry.
- New Vehicle Marketing Manager for Volvo Cars of North America, where she steered Volvo’s brand and regional marketing efforts in the Southeastern United States. In that role, she launched eight new vehicles for Volvo, driving a boost in both sales and marketing share. She also coordinated the company’s involvement in the Volvo Ocean Race, a 9-month round-the-world sailing regatta.
- Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Senior Marketing Officer for Chevy Chase Bank, where she helped launch a new online banking division, and managed marketing and advertising for the bank’s real estate development holdings
- Vax began her advertising career at Scali McCabe Sloves in New York City. She has also worked at Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer Advertising in New York and the Challenger Center for Space Science Education.
Education
Vax graduated summa cum laude from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia with a B.A. degree in Marketing Communications. While attending Mary Baldwin College, she did an internship at the White House.
