Curtis Robinson joined Qorvis Communications as a partner in 2002 from The Direct Impact Company, one of the pioneers in grass roots campaigns, which he joined in 2001 after a 25-year career in journalism. At Direct Impact he was Vice President of Media Relations, responsible for leading all strategic media and communications efforts for the company and developing innovative approaches to helping clients earn media coverage that disseminates information and campaign messages through a variety of mass-media channels.

  • Robinson’s journalism experience ranges from covering Margaret Thatcher for Reuters News Service to editing the 10,000-circulation Aspen Daily News.
  • As a grassroots political organizer, he has conducted programs in all 50 states and several nations.  He has worked on more than 100 issues-based campaigns.
  • He served as editor and managing editor at newspapers in Kentucky, Colorado, Alabama and California as well as director of new media for a newspaper website honored in 1999 by the National Newspaper Association of America as the best online newspaper in its category.
  • Worked as a political consultant in California where he directed opposition research, grass roots media and strategy for municipal campaigns.
  • Collaborated with national authors on books published by Random House and Simon & Schuster.

Robinson received his degree from Morehead State University.
