In his more than twenty years in the business, Bill Replogle has developed a love of brands that is reflected in all of his work. Prior to joining Qorvis Communications, Replogle was Chief Mechanic at Sparky’s Garage, an award winning advertising agency known for its outside-the-gearbox thinking. Along with partner John Pfeifer, Bill led the creative charge for clients like Harley-Davidson, GlaxoSmithKline, Stanley Martin Homes, and the American Cancer Society. Replogle’s areas of expertise include branding, concept, copy, creative direction, branded entertainment and venture development.
Pertinent Background & Relationships
- Before Sparky’s Garage, Replogle was the founding CEO of Admine.com, an Internet marketplace for ready-made ad campaigns. Admine attracted many of the top names in advertising to its advisory board, including Jay Chiat. Its innovative model also enabled it to aggregate campaigns from many of the best ad agencies in the country.
- Prior to Admine, Replogle was co-founder and Creative Director at Rainmaker, a company he helped nurture from a 3-person creative boutique to one of the area’s hottest full-service ad agencies, serving clients like America Online, Softspikes, Fresh Fields, Metro Washington Airport Authority, and Smithfield Foods.
- Replogle’s worked with agencies from Boston to DC generating a constant stream of effective and award-winning print and broadcast advertising for a diverse family of clients including Dunkin’ Donuts, Nabisco Confections, South Africa Tourism, and Icelandair. His innovative TV program “The Good Night Show” for GlaxoSmithKline’s Sominex brand pioneered the branded entertainment category. He subsequently turned it into one of the world’s first interactive TV shows with Time-Warner.
- Replogle has served on the board of the DC Adclub, and has chaired the Town of Leesburg’s Environmental Commission. He also writes golf stories under the pen name Chase Balata. His recently published book, Golfoholics, The Front Nine is currently on sale at bookstores, amazon.com and golfoholics.com.
Education
Replogle is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where he developed a love of creative writing, and Mindshare, an invitation-only program for leaders of the top emerging technology companies in the Washington area.
