As a senior director, Kristin Perkins Magur brings a rare combination of experience to Qorvis Communications with a background in both television and law. She is responsible for developing media, marketing, and overall implementation strategies for public affairs and public relations campaigns. She manages a network of field representatives who organize community functions, trade events, symposiums, panel discussions, speaking tours and media interviews throughout the U.S.

Perkins Magur works with a variety of clients in our media training center, including professional and trade associations, non-profit organizations, government officials and corporate executives from a range of business entities. Covering complex legal issues for media outlets taught Perkins Magur how to filter information into straight forward, simple messages and her experience as a producer, script writer, editor and reporter serves the media training center well. She also coordinates much of the grassroots efforts and media needs for a variety of clients at Qorvis, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The Horatio Alger Association, PhRMA and a large energy devices company.

Pertinent Background & Relationships

• Practiced litigation with a boutique law firm in Denver, Colorado.
• Provided legal analysis and production support to CBS during the Oklahoma City bombing trials.
• Worked as a producer for CourtTV where she coordinated live and taped trial coverage of over one hundred cases.
• Served as a legal consultant to clients in Colorado, Tennessee and New York.

Education

Perkins graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law. Perkins also studied at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.
