Managing director Scott McCullers brings more than a decade of public affairs and campaign experience to the results-oriented Qorvis approach. At Qorvis, McCullers has developed and implemented effective grassroots programs on issues ranging from asbestos litigation reform and bankruptcy legislation, to consumer education on artificial sweeteners.

McCullers worked on the Senate campaigns of Senator Harry Reid, Senator Bob Kerrey, and Senator Ben Nelson and served as policy advisor at the Senate Democratic Policy Committee. He has also served as a consultant to a number of state Democratic parties. At Qorvis, McCullers puts his campaign experience to work, developing and executing grassroots media programs for clients who need to tell their story to Main Street America.

Pertinent Background & Relationships

• Managed a multi-state grassroots media campaign to defeat asbestos litigation reform in the Senate.
• Served as senior legislative assistant for U.S. Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE), helping to favorably position the Senator on education, energy, and telecommunications issues.
• Director of Research and Policy for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, anchoring a communications team responsible for both paid and earned media, rapid response, direct mail, and public opinion research and analysis.
• McCullers began his political career as a policy advisor for Democratic Policy Committee Co-Chairmen Tom Daschle and Harry Reid following the GOP takeover of Congress in 1994.
• Has served as a campaign consultant to several state parties and local candidates.
